This red lacquered dish crafted using the jiazhutai technique features layers of lacquer over hemp cloth. At its center, a 1774 poem by Emperor Qianlong is carved and gilded in gold lacquer, praising a chrysanthemum leaf-shaped dish from the Ming dynasty’s Yongle period. The bottom inscription indicates it is an imitation of the Ming dynasty original.
