This tea cupstand features a top shaped like a small bowl with a base shaped like six flower petals supported by a stand. It was designed to hold ceramic or wooden cups. The surface is decorated with a cloud and dragon design painted in yellow, black, brown, and green lacquer on a red base. Wooden lacquer cupstands from the mid-Qing court are relatively rare.
